Sen. Tom George and former Gateway Inc. president and COO Rick Snyder will share their respective visions of how Michigan can become a successful and prosperous state now and for the future from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 at the Cityscape Events Center, 125 S. Kalamazoo Mall. The program will serve as a Kalamazoo Regional Chamber Political Action Committee fundraiser. A question and answer session will follow after the presentation.

"I will be previewing some of the issues coming up in the gubernatorial race,” Sen. Tom George said. “This is a great opportunity for Chamber members and the business community to learn about what will help Michigan's broken economy. I am looking forward, as well, to listening to attendees’ thoughts, ideas and comments on how we can best address the critical challenges facing our state. Together we can make a difference toward fixing Michigan and changing its future course for the better."

“I am excited to share my vision for reinventing Michigan,” Rick Snyder said. “Michigan is currently an economic disaster and we need new leadership that will bring a major transformation and a renewed entrepreneurial spirit to take our state from today’s era of decline into an era of innovation. Our state government needs abandon the status quo and treat its citizens and businesses like customers and should focus on programs and services that will allow people to succeed.”

A donation of $35 per plate or $250 per table of eight is requested from those attending. Corporate donations are also accepted at $45 per plate or $350 per table of eight. The proceeds from this event will go to the Chamber PAC’s efforts in electing local candidates to office that support strong economic growth and a positive business environment.

“This is truly a great opportunity to listen to two very high profile Michigan political leaders in the same room and right here in Kalamazoo,” said Brandt Iden, Chamber PAC chair. “We hope that attendees will be encouraged and positively challenged by what both leaders have to say.”

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Secure your seat online here. For more information, contact Jamie Wierenga at jwierenga@kazoochamber.com or (269) 381-4000.
